Microplan granite calibration plate is used for measuring, marking and grinding precision parts.

Large size granite surface plates are manufactured in 5 accuracy grades according to ISO 8512-2 Standards, in black or Blue Lanhelin granite, in order to satisfy all specific user needs, both in workshop and in metrological room. All plates are tested in an environment with controlled temperature (20° C) and humidity. All MICROPLAN® plates are supplied with a Test Report, in which error map and installation instructions are reported. Calibration Certificate available on request*. The table hereunder shows standard sizes, weights, article codes and the absolute flatness tolerances (in micrometers).

Granite surface plates with lightened structure have the inside alveolar structure made of glued crossed granite plates that considerably reduces the weight of the granite surface plate.

The advantages with respect to the solid granite plate, are the following: 40% to 60% of weight reduction; thermal stability, especially in areas subject to temperature changes; better stability since the reduced mass provides a better dissipation of internal tensions due to the low thermal conductivity of granite
