Large instrumental microscope БМИ is designed to measure external and internal linear and angular dimensions in rectangular and polar coordinates, parameters of threaded products, profile templates, patterns, cams, tapers, taps of thread-cutting dies and the distance between the centers of holes. Measurements can be carried out in transmitted and reflected light in the longitudinal direction up to 150 mm and in the transverse direction up to 50 mm.

The large measuring microscope БМИ has undergone a number of measurements and is already equipped with micron digital scales and a digital display unit as standard, which improves ergonomics and greatly simplifies measurements.
